| Objective To analyze the impact of PERMA theory on elderly patients undergoing contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Methods 92 elderly patients who underwent contrast-enhanced MRI in Department of Medical Imaging of People's Hospital of Huaibei City from January 2023 to August 2024 were selected as study subjects.According to a random number table method, they were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 46 patients in each group. The control group received conventional operation, while the observation group received operation under the guidance of the PERMA theory on the basis of the control group. The stress response, occurrence of adverse symptoms during the examination, and examination quality indicators were compared between the two groups. Results Before the MRI examination, there were no statistically significant differences in heart rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure between the two groups(P>0.05).During the examination, the heart rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the total incidence of adverse symptoms, such as dizziness, dyspnea, palpitations and chest tightness, were lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had shorter examination completion time, higher one-time examination success rate, and lower incidence of artifacts and examination movement rate. The differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PERMA theory-based interventions in elderly patients undergoing contrast-enhanced MRI may help reduce stress responses, decrease adverse symptoms during the examination, and thereby improve examination quality. |
